Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC Second Impressions

My first two copies of the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX suffered badly from centralisation issues, so my local Jessops ordered in 4 more from head office.

Out of this selection, I took some test shots, and selected the sharpest copy. I am now very happy, and glad I saved the £220 instead of buying the Canon equivalent.

It's a great lens, the autofocus is fast thanks to HSM, and it feels like a well built lens. Twinned with my new Canon 28-135mm I now have a relatively cost effective, lightweight and versatile travelling / walk-around set-up.

So, my advice is to go for the Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC USM if your are able / have the patience to try multiple copies until you find a good one. Many thanks to Jessops Derby for being so helpful with finding me a decent lens.

The internet can give great prices, but you can't beat a high street shop for ease of return.
